Dairy Products

Red Meat

Being hard to digest, red meat is also considered as a trigger food for IBS. Just like dairy products that contain fat, red meat has a load of fats which makes it difficult to be digested. In case you can’t avoid eating meat, try to have those parts with less fat in it. But still, you try your very best to avoid your favorite foods like hamburgers, steaks, roast beef, hotdogs, bacon, ham, sausage and pepperoni.

Other Poultry Products

Dark meat or poultry skin is also possible trigger food and can cause IBS on your system. Poultry skin also contains a lot of fat and as it was mentioned, they increase the possibility of the IBS attacks. We can’t totally take away poultry in our daily diet for nothing will be left if we also exclude this in our diet. In that case, eating chicken is still possible by just removing the skin and we consume the white meat.

Aside from the trigger foods mentioned above, there are still more out there which are mostly high in fats. Examples of these are onion rings, French fries (the favorite one), salad dressing, pizza, potato chips, coconut, olives, biscuits and doughnuts. These are all tempting and have been part of our diet since then. They are all around you but if you do our best to avoid these, you would actually have lese digestive problems and with your IBS flaring up. The healthier your foods are the better.
